My Dogs Guide me.

Ever wonder why D-O-G and G-O-D are so similar?  I don't.  I don't mean to be irreverent but there are similarities.  Your D-O-G loves you unconditionally.  So does G-O-D.  And if you don't believe in God, then maybe you need to look at your dog to understand the LOVE that we are meant to have and to share.  No amount of personal tragedy will stop your loyal four-legged companion from wanting to be with you.  Many times, after such losses such as a death in the family or a major illness, friends may stop visiting.  Maybe they still visit but not as much.  But your four-legged friend can't get enough of you.  He or she doesn't worry that about not having the right words to express.  They are just present.  That's what God teaches us, to just be present.  We spend so much time in the future.  We worry about finances and all the "hows".  " How am I going to pay for this?  How am I going to get ....?  How do I get well?  What happens if I do not get well?  How will I manage if I'm without a particular person?  In the present moment, we are perfectly imperfect.  If we focus on our condition, we magnify it.  You've heard the term, What you resist, persists. We are, in essence, resisting whenever we think about an unwanted condition.  "What?", you say, "I'm supposed to want this?" It is not about "wanting".  It is about accepting what IS, just for the present moment.  It is not about wanting or worrying or regretting.  Seeking a different life is not the same as disliking your life.  Be present with your pets.  They have so much to teach us.  I am not the same since meeting my animals.  Each one teaches me something different.  Forbes taught me to love everyone. Adele taught me it's okay to occasionally put my crazy on.  Dash has taught me to be grateful.  The expression, "actions speak louder than words" is demonstrated in my canine friends.  They live their truth.
Are you willing to live yours?
